Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do you inflate the bouncy castle when you have delivered it?

A: Our bouncy castles are inflated using electric fan blowers. They are simply plugged in to a suitable socket in your house or out building - we supply cables and power breakers(10-20 metre cable) with all castles so if you need anything longer please contact us so we can provide you with an alternative power supply eg. Generator, extension leads etc.

Q: How are the castles deflated & can I do it myself?

To deflate the castle, simply unplug the fan and it will slowly collapse (but make sure nobody is using the castle at the time!).

Q: What happens if it’s raining or particularly bad weather on the day of the booking?

A: If the weather is particularly bad (e.g. constant rain, high winds etc.) then in the interests of safety, we may have to cancel your booking (or you may choose to cancel yourself!) If so, we will call you as early as possible to discuss possible alternatives, or you may call us.

Q: How much space do I need for a bouncy castle?

A: The dimensions of our castles are shown in our gallery page- please also allow an additional 6 feet(2 metres) both back and front and at least 2 feet (60cm) at the sides.

Q: What kind of access do you need when you deliver the castle?

A: The castles are wheeled in to position using a cart, so we will need an average size pathway to get the castle in to your garden or venue. If you have a lot of steps or restricted access in any way, please let us know so that we can assess.

Q: Can the bouncy castles go indoors?

A: Yes, the bouncy castles can go indoors but you must check the height of the ceiling before booking. The ceiling must be higher than the height of the castle booked (we prefer at least 1 foot/30cm clearance). Heights of all our castles are on our website.

Q: Are you fully insured? If someone gets injured who's to blame?

A: We carry 5 million pounds worth of public liability insurance, which provides cover in the unlikely event that equipment or its installation is faulty or defective. However, as detailed in our terms and conditions, once the equipment has been delivered and we have instructed you in its use, it then becomes your responsibility to ensure it's used safely and responsibly. We therefore cannot be held liable for any injuries caused whilst the castle is in your care.

Q: How much notice do I need to give to book a castle?

A: As much notice as possible. During busy times we do book up well in advance so let us know as soon as you have a date in mind, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Q: Do you charge for cancellation?

A: We don't charge a cancellation fee, whether that cancellation is by you or us, but if you have to cancel, we ask that you give as much notice as possible (at least 24 hours) so that we can hire the castle out to somebody else.

Q: When the castle is delivered, do I have to set it up myself or do you do it?

A: Our staff will set up the castle, demonstrate and give you instructions on its safe use and then leave it in your control. When we collect the castle, we will also dismantle it.

Q: How many children/adults are allowed on the castle?

A: It depends - each castle has different limits according to its size. The guides are displayed (usually on the step) of each castle. As a rough guide, a childrens castle may hold 6 - 8 children (depending on size!) Childrens castles must never be used by heavier adults, and it's not advisable to mix different sizes on the same castle (to prevent injuries to little ones!) Remember, you are responsible for any damage or injury. If you're in any doubt, give us a call and we can advise on suitability/limits.

Q: Is it ok to put a bouncy castle on my lawn, will it cause much damage?

A: We actually prefer to put the bouncy castle on a lawn area. To secure the castle during use, we must hammer in 6 securing pegs into the lawn. The holes left over from the pegs will disappear after a few days. The castle will have a ground sheet placed under it so, although the grass may be a little flattened, it should not be harmed.

Q: Can you put a bouncy castle on a concrete floor?

A: We prefer not to (as it can be difficult to secure the castle in place), but we can providing we can drill and secure the castle to the floor appropriately. If you have no alternative surface then please let us know during booking so that we can arrange/assess alternative methods of securing. There may be an extra charge for providing additional securing methods.

Q: How long do I get to keep the bouncy castle?

A: We deliver the castles in the morning and then collect them later on that day. If you want it for 2 consecutive days, you would need to arrange this with us in advance. The period of hire will of course be reflected in the price.

Q: Am I allowed to hire this castle from you and then charge people to use the castle?

A: Yes you are, but you must bear in mind that you then become solely responsible for the safety of the users. As the hirer you are liable for any damages, so you must have your own public liability insurance. And don't be tempted to overload the castle to try to make extra money.

Q: Are your units safe? Will you teach me how to have a safe day of fun?

A: Yes, they are designed from the ground up with safety in mind and are routinely inspected and tested for safety. In addition, we review all safety and usage rules with you prior to use. While no one can guarantee 100% safety, we do everything we can to promote safe and responsible use of our products to ensure your day is filled with fun, not hospital visits.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: Prices start from £50 pound for a childrens castle. All prices are clearly displayed on our website.

Q: What if it rains or the weather's really bad?

A: If the weather is typically British (showery!), our castles have shower proof covers, (and our extension leads are shower-proof too) so once the shower ends, after a quick wipe over with a towel, the fun can continue! If it's torrential or persistant rain, or strong winds, then there may be no alternative but to cancel. We will try to give as much notice as possible - and we don't charge a cancellation fee.

Q: What are the appropriate ages for bouncing?

A: We have castles for all ages and are insured for children, teenagers and adults, so anybody can join in the fun!

Q: My garden slopes a bit - will that be OK?

A: Yes. A slight slope is not a problem (but if you live on the side of a mountain, that may be impossible!) Typically, we will place the entrance of the unit at the top of any slope. If the slope is too steep, the installer may request an alternative location so please have one in mind. Safety is the most important consideration when selecting a setup area.

Q: Does it need electricity? How much does it use?

A: Yes. We will bring a 50 foot extension cord with us, so you'll need an electrical outlet near the set up area. The blower runs continuously and uses approximately £0.18 of electricity per hour. All blowers and wiring are routinely and regularly safety checked before delivery.

Q: What time do you deliver and pickup the bouncy castle?

A: Our delivery times are between 7.30am -12.30pm and pickup times are between 7pm-10pm, unless you have requested exact times in the additional info box on the booking page.

Q: What are your hours of operation?

A: We are available Monday to Friday 9am - 8pm, Saturday to Sunday 7am - 11pm. You can book on line 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Our customer support lines are open continually on the weekends.

Q: Is it cheaper if we pick up the bouncy castle ourselves?

A: Sorry, no. All of our staff are fully trained and certified by us to be the exclusive installer of our equipment. Our installers do an onsite safety inspection and then instruct you in the safe and responsible use of our equipment. The safety of our users is paramount, so we would never allow you to collect or install the equipment. However, a 10% discount is available if 2 or more items are hired at the same time!

Q: Can I pay online?

A: Sorry, but at the moment, payment is cash on delivery only. (We may accept building society cheques or company cheques - please contact us to confirm). We hope to introduce an online payment method very shortly!

Q: My party is tomorrow. Can I still get a rental?

A: Maybe! Give us a call and we will try to work it in.
